Alyssa Ortega

Alyssa Ortega joined Vantage in 2025 as an intern. She graduated with Latin honors from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2020, earning dual B.A. degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Houston.

Alyssa has led and co-authored numerous research projects on topics such as leadership, behavioral nudges, and personality. Her applied work spans both pro bono and client-facing engagements, with a focus on job analysis, strategic program evaluation, and the development of evidence-based organizational recommendations. She has also served on hiring committees, facilitated organizational surveys, and delivered stakeholder reports in both academic and industry settings.

Looking ahead, Alyssa aims to leverage her expertise to strengthen organizational strategy and promote evidence-based decision-making at all levels.

Outside of her research and consulting roles, Alyssa mentors graduate students through Blacks in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and teaches undergraduate psychology courses at the University of Houston. In her free time, she enjoys exploring creative pursuits and spending time in nature.
