“I am overjoyed and humbled to join the Vantage Leadership Consulting partnership team,” said River. “I look forward to new opportunities to learn and contribute to our great firm, and ultimately grow and evolve our offerings to help our clients thrive in the changing leadership landscape.”

River’s responsibilities will continue to expand as he takes on a more active role in the day-to-day operations of the firm and the longer-term management decision-making with his partners. He will also look to grow the firm’s profile in the marketplace.

“Beau’s thought leadership, which he shares at conferences and in publications such as Forbes as a contributing writer, will help guide the growth and development of leaders in the coming years,” said Keith Goudy, Managing Partner of Vantage Leadership Consulting. “We are grateful to have another leader in our firm who cares so deeply about the well-being of our clients and our Vantage colleagues in these trying times.”

Since joining Vantage Leadership Consulting in October 2014, River has provided clients with hands-on expertise in identifying and developing great leaders and building high-performing teams. Insights into people and group dynamics, and great skill as an executive coach and talent spotter, established him as a trusted advisor for building the bench strength organizations require to compete in a rapidly evolving business environment.

In the first part of his career, River was a professional squash player and member of the United States Squash Team. This experience gave him insight into what it takes to create a world-class performance mindset, as well as the motivation and continuous improvement required to drive ongoing success. He leverages this perspective to develop executives and support a full expression of their talent. The result is leaders who are more prepared to address the biggest challenges facing their organizations. River has consulted with a diverse range of clients, from middle market to Fortune 20 and nonprofit organizations in a range of industries including: energy and renewables, consumer electronics, industrial engineering, insurance, finance, biotech, QSR, metals, food, and executive education. Beau completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, and went on to receive his M.A. and Psy.D. from Adler University.

River’s promotion represents the fifth high-level personnel decision for Vantage Leadership Consulting in the last two years. In September 2019, David Binkley, former Chief Human Resources Officer at Whirlpool, was named a senior advisor to the firm. In May 2020, Mary Becker, formerly of Lee Hecht Harrison, joined the Vantage network as Client Partner, Business Development. Finally, Eileen Linnabery and Stefanie Mockler were promoted at the beginning of this year to, respectively, Practice Leader, New Products for Client Success and Practice Leader, Leadership Development.
